Coating Evaluation Technology
Introduction

A comprehensive evaluation system of coatings is established in our center. For coating service environment factors, we can research and analyze from service temperature, pressure, medium, flow rate, environmental stress, cathodic protection and interference situation, etc. For coating construction technology factors, we can research and analyze from thickness, surface treatment,construction, coating and curing, etc. And according to the characteristics of the field environmental factors, we can also conduct the environment simulation test. The failure cause and environmental applicability of the coating can be analyzed by comparing the adhesion, wear resistance, shear force, hardness, infrared and other performance before and after service.

  • Coating performance measurement and characterization techniques
    We own a variety of technologies for coating detection and characterization: such as holiday test, dry film and wet film thickness test, mechanical testing includes adhesion, hardness, shear stress, wear resistance, bending resistance, impact resistance, fatigue resistance, macro and micro measurement and characterization of interface and cross section of coating and substrate, and a series of analysis and testing of coating related properties, such as infrared spectroscopy and so on.
  • The research foundation of the coating failure mode and the main control factors
    We own multiple sets of independent design and construction, such as high temperature and high pressure multiphase corrosion simulation equipment, high temperature and high pressure H2S/CO2 corrosion simulation equipment, high temperature and high pressure wet corrosion equipment, as well as salt spray test cabinet, freezing and thawing test box, light test box and other environmental simulation equipment. The adaptability of coating materials and working conditions can be evaluated under different temperature, pH, pressure and corrosive medium conditions.

  • Screening and evaluation of internal coating on oil and gas pipeline
    In view of the corrosion environment of oil and gas pipelines and coating samples, coating evaluation experiment was carried out through high temperature and high pressure corrosion simulation experiment, in order to provide technical support for the operation safety of pipeline.
  • Internal coating evaluation for large scale industrial container equipment
    In view of inner coating for large industrial equipment such as three-phase separator, the work of failure analysis, coating applicability evaluation and selection can be carried out from coating selection factors, construction technology factors and environmental factors.
  • External Anticorrosive Coating Evaluation and Life Assessment for Buried and Underwater Pipelines
    Evaluation and life assessment of external coating on buried and submarine pipeline With field investigation, laboratory testing and other professional means, we can analyze and evaluate the damage type and disbonding risk of external coating on buried pipeline. And we can also evaluate of the influence of coating damage on the safety of pipeline operation, establishing operational management guide. The performance degradation and life expectancy of coating can be obtained and analyzed through field environment simulation experiment and accelerated experiments.
